Delete your Taskaty account and data

Delete your account in the app

You need to be signed in. Deletion happens straight away and cannot be undone.

1. Open Taskaty and go to the More tab.
2. Tap My Account.
3. Under Danger Zone, tap Delete Account.
4. Tap Delete to confirm.

If the app shows an error saying you need to have signed in recently, sign out, sign in again and repeat the steps. If you can no longer sign in, use email instead.

Ask us by email

If you cannot open the app or sign in, or would rather we did it for you, email us. Send it from the email address you use with the app if you can; if not, we may ask you to confirm the request from that address before we delete anything.

• Whether you use Taskaty on Android or iPhone.
• That you want the account and all its synced data deleted.

What is deleted

• Your Taskaty account: the sign-in record with your name, email address and account ID.
• Every task and list saved to your account in the cloud, so they no longer sync to any device.

What is not deleted, and for how long

• Tasks saved on your phone stay on that phone, outside any account, until you delete them or uninstall the app.
• Usage statistics are not linked to your account. Their detailed records are deleted after 90 days at most, as our privacy policy explains.
• Crash reports carry no account details. Google Firebase Crashlytics keeps them for a limited time under Google’s own policy.
• Google, which runs the cloud service (Firebase) for us, may keep deleted data in its own backup systems for a limited time before it is overwritten, under Google’s own policy.

How long it takes

• In the app: at once.
• By email: we reply within one business day and complete the deletion within 30 days, then tell you it is done.
