Account and data deletion

Close a Nizamna account and delete its data

A Nizamna account belongs to a business. The business’s owner closes it and deletes its data; staff logins are created and removed by the business they work for. Either can also ask us by email.

If you own the business: close it in the web app

Closing needs the Owner role, or a role the owner has given the right to close the business, and two-step verification. It is done in the web app, which also works in a phone’s browser.

  1. Sign in at nizamna.athryza.com.
  2. Open Settings, then Data & closing.
  3. If you want to keep your records, export a copy first.
  4. Under Close the business, tap Close business and delete data.
  5. Type the business’s address exactly as shown, then confirm with Close the business.

From then on the business is view- and export-only for the whole team. You can cancel from the same page during the next 30 days; after that its data is deleted for good and cannot be recovered.

If you work for a business on Nizamna

Your login was created by the business you work for, and the records you made there belong to it. Ask the business’s owner to remove you from the team. To delete your login itself (your name, email address and sign-in details), email us.

Ask us by email

If you cannot open the app or sign in, or would rather we did it for you, email us. Send it from the email address you use with the app if you can; if not, we may ask you to confirm the request from that address before we delete anything.

What is deleted when a business is closed

  • All of the business’s records, such as sales, stock, customers, suppliers, staff roles and settings, and the files it stored.
  • The business’s activity log.
  • Every team member’s access to the business.

What is not deleted, and for how long

  • Our daily database backups are deleted after about two weeks, so the business’s data is gone from them within 16 days of its final deletion.
  • The logins of the people who worked in the business are separate from it, because a person may belong to other businesses too. Closing a business does not delete them; email us to delete yours.
  • Our own audit log keeps a note that the business was deleted, without any of its data.
  • Records of subscription payments to us may be kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Usage statistics are not linked to any account. Their detailed records are deleted after 90 days at most, as our privacy policy explains.

How long it takes

  • Closing in the web app: view-only at once, and the data is deleted 30 days later.
  • By email: we reply within one business day and delete a login within 30 days, then tell you it is done. We close a business only at its owner’s request, confirmed from the owner’s email address, and its data is then deleted on the same 30-day schedule as closing it in the web app.
  • Backup copies: gone within 16 days after the data is deleted.
