Delete your BoardVerse account and data

Delete your account in the app

Deletion happens straight away. There is no waiting period and it cannot be undone.

1. Open BoardVerse and go to your Profile.
2. Tap the Settings (gear) icon at the top.
3. Scroll down to Account and tap Delete Account.
4. Tap Delete Account again to confirm.

If your account uses Sign in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm once more, so the app can also revoke BoardVerse's access to your Apple ID. If the app asks you to sign in again, sign out, sign back in and repeat the steps.

Ask us by email

If you cannot open the app or sign in, or would rather we did it for you, email us. Send it from the email address you use with the app if you can; if not, we may ask you to confirm the request from that address before we delete anything.

Please include

• The username you play under.
• How you sign in (email address, Google, Apple or guest) and, if you have one, the email address the account uses.
• Whether you play on Android or iPhone.

What is deleted

• Your account and profile: username, email address, avatar photo, bio, statistics and rating.
• Your friends, friend requests and achievements, your places in competitions, and your seat in any game room you are still in.
• Every chat message you sent.
• Your notifications, and the notification tokens of every phone you signed in on.
• The players you blocked, the reports you filed and your support conversations.
• The scrambled device identifier that tied a guest account to your phone.
• Your sign-in record with Google Firebase Authentication, so the email address or social account is free to start again.

What is not deleted, and for how long

• Match results stay, so other players' ratings and the leaderboards stay correct. They are no longer linked to a profile.
• The final standings of past seasons and the champions of finished competitions keep the username shown at the time, as the record of the game.
• Reports other players filed about you stay for 12 months after they are resolved, so that deleting an account cannot erase a moderation record.
• Error reports the app sent are unlinked from your account at once and deleted within 30 days.
• Copies in our database backups are overwritten within about 30 days.
• Usage statistics are not linked to your account, and their detailed records are deleted after 90 days at most. Firebase Analytics events, which carried your account ID, are kept by Google for a limited time under our project's retention setting and Google's own policy.

How long it takes

• In the app: at once.
• By email: we reply within one business day and complete the deletion within 30 days, then tell you it is done.
• A guest account that is not used for 30 days is deleted automatically, after reminders 7 days and 1 day before.
